Server room in an old slaughterhouse
Me and my friend, we are starting a small business connected with providing the internet to the common people. In our small city it is a pioneer idea even though it is hard to believe in the twenty first century. Actually we are about to finish all the works in our new server room and we will soon start providing the internet. But the whole investment did not go so smoothly at the beginning. Believe me or not but finding a proper place where a large amount of servers scan be stored is not an easy task. We were searching for over two months when we finally decided on the place where our server room is now located. It may sound funny or to other people even scary but we decided to buy an old slaughterhouse. Maybe it is a strange decision to you but we had two main arguments for it. Firstly the building was the cheapest that we could ever get which of course counts a lot for people who are just starting a company. Secondly huge rooms of the slaughterhouse are really fitting the best for server room purposes. The only drawback was that there was a lot of work to do to make the slaughterhouse a server room. The cleaning, painting and other works took over four months till we could finally start equipping this place with all the electronic stuff we needed. But it was worth it. Now when we are looking at our server room we know that we did something great. Of course there is a lot of work still waiting ahead.
