Scrap gold hunt
I"ve been saving money for more or less three years. I work part-time, so sometimes I have to look for other ways of earning money. I"d like to go to India for the summer, which has been my biggest dream since I was a child. My parents used to work in India but they never had the time to visit this country again after I was born. Today, the holiday can cost a lot. I"ve been trying to sell old books, clothes, unused appliances on auction websites and I managed to get some money, but not much. I"ve been thinking of selling scrap gold. I suppose that if I look for some old coins, chains, earrings, broken rings, bracelets or watches, I will be able to find a few handfuls at home. When I was a child, my uncles and aunts would often give me gold jewellery for birthday, and I used to wear some of them, but now most of these things are damaged or broken (sometimes I think I shouldn"t really wear any jewellery at all). If I look in the drawers, old musical boxes, cabinets and in the attic, I"m sure that I will collect some gold scrap. I will also have to search the net in order to find some advice on how to estimate the value of such things. I"m not an expert, you know. It"s better not to guess how much these things might cost if you have no experience.
